Baluan Went To Town
Baluan
National High School holds JS Prom in Fort Sarangani
25 February 2012. Crossing two
regions, two cities and three municipalities, the 3rd and 4th
year high school students of Baluan National High School of Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat
travelled more than 24 hours to reach 73IB just to celebrate their
Junior-Senior Promenade. Headed by their principal, Mrs. Alladin Grande, a
total of 80 students and teachers enjoyed the serene beauty of Fort Sarangani
as the venue of their activity.
The students experience the
usual tank-riding, lunch-dining in Serenity Lounge and Serendipity Café,
picture-taking and tour around the Peace Camp. It was an unforgettable
experience for the students to visit urban area and even go to the beach. Mrs.
Grande quoted “Baluan went to town,” she was overwhelmed with the kindness that
the soldiers showed with them. “The accommodation and full support of the
officers and men of 73IB are great that made our activity come into reality.
The whole delegation could never forget the hospitality and I am sure that we
will go back again,” Mrs. Grande said.
Themed with Hawaiian accent,
the JS Prom of BNHS was graced by Councilor Sarah Fatima Maulana and Sanguniang
Bayan Member Mariam Kanda of Palimbang. Maj Romasanta was their Guest of Honor and Speaker of said event.
